Our MYC team, is a young crew who competed in the Australian Teams Racing Championships in 2025 and won qualifying us for the event. The two helms James and Lachie competed in school team sailing together for their school culminating in a second place at nationals in 2022. The helms have enjoyed taking their teams racing from 3v3 in Pacer Dinghy's to bigger boats in the 2v2 format. The crew have all grown up sailing dinghy's at a multitude of levels.

Many of us have represented The Bahamas on the world stage, and we are incredibly excited and proud to come together once again to represent our nation at the Team Race World Championship.

Bermuda has fielded entries at the World Championships in Rutland in 2015 (7th) and Newport in 2025 (10th), with those sailors becoming the core of an expanded pool of eager team racers from Bermuda. The Bermuda Team Racing Association was formed in the fall of 2025 to support team racing in Bermuda, including our representation at international events.

First time this team sails team race (!) Lars Vilhelmsen, the one skipper, has a silver medal at the Champions League J70. Peter Warrer, the other skipper and team captain, has 2 world championships in the opti class and won the Prince Henriks Silver Cup, team race in dragons, as the Danish team captain.

Reigning Team Racing World Champions Tim Wadlow and Will Bailey will lead the Corinthian Yacht Club’s challenge for the 2026 Team Racing World Championship. As the defending 2025 World Champions, Wadlow and Bailey bring a proven record of sustained excellence at the highest level of the sport, with marquee victories at the U.S. Sailing National Team Racing Championships (2004, 2015), the New York Yacht Club Morgan Cup (2021, 2025), and the Global Team Race Championship (2024). Wadlow is also a past World Team Racing Champion (2005, New York Yacht Club), underscoring the team’s long‑standing pedigree on the international stage. Forged in the fiercely competitive environment of Marblehead Harbor, the Corinthian Yacht Club is poised to field an exceptionally strong, versatile squad for the 2026 Team Racing World Championship.
